Carey Mulligan at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival

As most of you know, Cannes Film Festival started this week. Besides the films, one of the main events is looking at what the stars were wearing on the red carpet. One of the most promising, new and upcoming actresses is British star Carey Mulligan, who shot to fame after she starred in the film 'An Education' (definitely something I would recommend) which was nominated for 9 Oscars. All eyes were on her this week. So what was she wearing?

For the premiere of her new film 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps' she showed up wearing this custom-made Azzaro Fall 2010 gown, with a beaded collar and a bow detail. I do like the originality of the dress, however there is just something that isn't working for me. Maybe it's the darkness of the blue, or the shape as a whole. I do however love her hair and make up, there were definitely no mistakes made there!

One of the other dresses she wore on the red carpet was a dress by RM by Roland Mouret, combined with Fendi Shoes. Just gorgeous. The colour suited her well, and the black belt and shoes really finish it off beautifully. Oh and finally, just to give you an idea of how much press is around, I've added another picture to show the madness of it all!
