Last weekend, amidst all the craziness of New York Fashion Week, there was one show which had an added sentiment to it; and that was Tommy Hilfiger. In celebration of its 25-year heritage, Tommy Hilfiger went all out for spring/summer 2011 and had a beyond-preppy rocker-meets-country-club theme for all of his designs. When such a massive event takes place, it is only logical that celebrities are going to turn up! I've added a few outfits that I absolutely adored...and one that unfortunately didn't make the cut.
Conclusion: Love it! I might be slightly biased, because I love Olivia Palermo's personal style, but I'm pretty sure there weren't any other outfits that stood out like hers! There is so much to love about this outfit- the combination of the different colours and fabrics, the fact that she kept her make-up nice and neutral. There isn't really anything bad I can say about it! Definitely an inspirational outfit.
Conclusion: Love it! I found Jessica Szohr's outfit quite a difficult one. My first impression wasn't very positive at all; I thought that the whole combination was very unsuccessful. But the longer I look at it, the more I seem to like it. First and foremost, I love those boots with the laces; I have to find myself a pair as well! Secondly, the colour combinations are done quite well; the cardigan goes well with the blouse, and the shoes and leather shorts do match. It is definitely an unusual outfit, but I think Jessica can definitely pull it off! I also think it was a smart move she kept her hair and make-up simple, otherwise the whole thing would have been way over the top.
Conclusion: Love it! Since Kelly Osbourne appeared on Dancing with the Stars, she has been shedding the pounds! And I have to admit; I do like this smaller frame on Kelly. She's been looking incredibly fabulous lately, so when she arrived at Tommy Hilfiger's event you couldn't expect any less. I love the dress with the waist belt, which shows off her tiny figure. The jacket makes the whole outfit look more formal, while the ballerina pumps add a playful touch. Furthermore, her hair is amazing (she looks great as a blonde), and I love the nude lips; it might be something I'll try in future!
Conclusion: Bin it! I'm not sure how she does it, but every time Jennifer Lopez puts on something glittery and sparkly, it just looks tacky. Combined with the big hair, it just doesn't work for me. It's just all too much. I do feel bad, because she is such a beautiful woman. So maybe she should team up with Jessica Alba's new stylist?
