Celebrities love Chanel: Love it or Loathe it?

It isn't even properly winter yet but the spring/summer collections for 2011 are coming out by the dozen! Today's show for Chanel wasn't just about the inspirational designs for next year, but also about the star-studded event itself. And somehow that is exactly what I love about fashion shows; the (sometimes eccentrically dressed) celebrities. And to start the week off nice and easy, I've decided to pick apart some of the outfits worn today.

Conclusion: Love it! A lot of people compare her to Marmite; you either love or hate her. Personally I think Keira Knightley is stunning (I'd love to have her facial bone structure), and I think she looks a lot healthier than she has over the last couple of years. Her outfit for Chanel's show is just plain lovely; I love the mix of the bold gold dress combined with some subtle black accessories. Also, by having neutral make-up she makes sure to accentuate the gold dress. There is nothing that I'd want to change about this outfit whatsoever!

Conclusion: Love it! Now, over the past few months I've been hearing that Lily Allen has been struggling with her pregnancy; she just can't seem to find a good outfit (according to Miss Allen herself). But I have to disagree with her, because I think she looks just fine. I love her dress with the oversized cardigan (still I can't believe she's wearing those platforms considering she's pregnant; crazy!) and a simple black clutch. The only thing I would probably change about her whole look is her hair; it somehow just doesn't go with the rest of her outfit.

Conclusion: So-So! For the last couple of months I have absolutely loved most of Rachel Bilson's outfits. But this time, I'm not so sure what to think of it; there's just so much going on! What I most definitely love about her outfit is the leather jacket and her heels; they're both quite edgy and also very likable. But then the dress makes it all a little bit more difficult, especially as it is combined with a red clutchbag. My conclusion is that there is just too much going on at once, which therefore ruins her look. It's a shame really, seeing that with different accessories her outfit could have been quite special.

Conclusion: Loathe it! Oh dear. Claudia Schiffer's outfit is just wrong on so many levels. First of all, why is she wearing jeans at a Chanel fashion show? It's a little too casual for my liking. Then: how can she combine those two very different types of brown? It just doesn't go at all; it clashes way too much. It is such a shame because I absolutely love those boots (oh..and the necklace isn't too bad either). Someone find her a new stylist!

What do you think of these outfits? Which ones do you love, and which are the ones you absolutely loathe? Please comment, and don't forget to follow!

The Colour Camel

There are many great trends for this autumn and winter, but the one I keep coming back to is the colour camel. It's classy, sophisticated and pretty much time-less. Camel has dominated the runways for the last couple of months, especially with haute couture brands like GUCCI, Chloe and Prada. What I like best about the colour camel is how it suits both brunettes and blonds! I haven't bought a camel coloured item yet, but the moment I find that perfect item (preferably a pussybow blouse) I'll definitely have to purchase it!
