Trend Alert: Nude Eyebrows

Seen in multiple photo shoots and on magazine covers, it's the newest trend in the fashion world. It's edgy, it's different, and it probably will take some getting used to. They are...Nude Eyebrows. I love how on the French Vogue cover (the July edition), the eyebrows of actress Marion Cotillard have basically vanished through the use of nude make up. It accentuates her eyes, and gives her face more intensity.

I believe it is definitely a safer option than shaving them off all together, because even though it might look nice for a day, once the hairs start growing back (in all directions, because your natural eye brow shape will have disappeared along with your eyebrows), it will take some time until they start to look nice and natural again. And for those who don't have a personal make-up artist, it might be a better idea just to stick with nude make up and/or bleach. You'll wake up, the next morning, and your eye brows will have re-appeared!

Also, model Alessandra Ambrosio rocked the 'nude eyebrow' look on the cover of fashion magazine Love. It seems that her bleached eyebrows prove that she is more than just a pretty Victoria's Secret Angel. Some might say it makes her look intimidating and scary, but I think she looks very high fashion. It did take some getting used to though!

What do you think of this new trend? Yay or Nay? Comments are always appreciated, I love to hear what you think!

  1. I do like the trend very editorial modelesque :P but I do not think it is for everyone.

  2. That "ed trend" is very peculiar...specially because it don't fit in most of the faces! I do like to see nude eyebrows in persons who know how to wear makeup and, specially, in persons who have strong bone structure...Anyway...i love those covers, specially because nude eyebrows make me think about Givenchy, which I simply love!
